| By default, Google backs up important data and associates it with the corresponding Google service where it can be accessed online. This can include Contacts, Email, Calendars, Chrome Browser Data, Google Hangouts Chat Logs, Apps, Purchased Content, and some system settings including saved WIFI passwords. You can manage which data you would like to sync with Google in the Accounts Options of the main Settings Menu. Your Google Account can also be used to reset the screen lock on your device. If you set up a pattern lock and make several attempts to unlock your device, then tap Forgot Pattern you will be prompted for your Google Account Username and Password. Then, you will be directed to Security Options in the main Settings Menu, where you can reset the device password. |
